Daily Prayer Points

7:24 am

Everyone who hears my teaching and applies it to his life can be compared to a wise man who built his house on an unshakable foundation. When the rains fell and the flood came, with fierce winds beating upon his house, it stood firm because of its strong foundation.

Matthew 7:24-25

Give us courage, God, to put what You’ve taught us into practice today. We want to be doers of Your Word and Your ways, not people who hear and quickly forget, moving on about our day as the unwise do. You tell us that this world will inevitably create situations that are uncomfortable or troubling to us, but we say, “You are our firm foundation.” We stand in Your strong love. Amen.

10:10 am

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10-11

Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd – You willingly laid down Your life for us. We thank you that Your true love gives us abundant life. Open our eyes to anything that keeps us from experiencing Your fullness. We invite Your life-giving love to overflow every single area of our lives. We love You. Amen.

1:34 pm

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.

John 13:34-35

Holy Spirit, we thank You for empowering us with the love of Jesus. Help us to walk in that holy love for one another: forgiving quickly, encouraging often, uniting in the simple Gospel of Jesus, finding more reasons to agree than airing out reasons why we disagree, seeing one another as members of the Body of Christ moving together, regardless of denomination, race, nationality, or gender. We long to represent to the world You love how beautiful and healthy the Body of Christ is. Help us, Holy Spirit, to love one another today like we will in eternity. Amen.

3:05 pm

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6

For every step we take today, God, we confess our dependence on You. We thank You that You are fully trustworthy. Help us to trust You with our whole hearts as we seek You first. We are grateful for Your leadership and Lordship in our lives. Have Your way. Amen.

7:14 pm

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Lord, Your Word tells us that our own words have power. And we know that what we think about greatly impacts the condition of our hearts. So, Father, we submit both our spoken words and our unspoken thoughts to you. Help us to stand resolved and determined to speak and meditate on things that are beneficial – that You find pleasing. And to actively reject words and thoughts that are not in line with Your words and Your thoughts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
